How To Be A Mummy At Work

All you need to do is go on a 5 day bachelor party vacation to Las Vegas, Nevada and then attempt to come to work the same week. I got back in from Sin City Monday night at 9:55 PM. I had yesterday off as I was in no condition whatsoever to provide any type of value to my group, company, stockholder, or myself. I am back at work this morning but totally swamped, I feel like I am in quicksand.

To make things worse, one of the 6 members of my team notified us that his last day is on Friday, this means that there will be more responsibility to go around, especially with some big project dates coming up. Just my luck right? I guess it was a well timed vacation, but now it is time to get back to work. Nice opportunity for me to demonstrate some higher responsibilities and competencies; however, my track record over the last year has not been brag-able.

Oh yeah, I also have night class tonight, which is making me hate myself even more at the moment. Combine that with the very little amount of money that currently resides in my checking account and I am just in a stellar mood! It is all good because things could always be worse. I am thankful for the vacation and for the fact that I made it home alive and in one piece (I was worried about that for a few nights!).

I will get a Vegas update by the end of the week, providing you with details of my mindless spending and miraculous river chasing stories at the poker table. It feels good to be home, but I need to handle this stuff right now quickly and efficiently. I will commence such activities once I get out of this state of mummification. Be easy.
