Sports & Finance: Jordan Hits a HR
No, Michael Jordan is not back trying to make a comeback playing baseball. While he did bat a measly .202 in the minor leagues, he raised his average to Albert Pujols status (who is home watching my Phillies by the way) with his most recent advertisement for his empire that is Brand Jordan. This year marked the first time that Brand Jordan brought in $1 billion in revenues for its parents company, Nike. Ironically, 23 years ago Nike reached the $1 billion in revenues. The common denominator in it all is His Airness.
Jordan does not appear in many of the commercials anymore, but his presence is still felt immensely. Jordan prided himself on hard work, toughness, and taking advantage of the “moment”. Watch this commercial and try to tell me that you do not feel those emotions in every scene.
